Stay informed of the facts and details regarding major power outages affecting our members. We generally post outage reports within 72 hours of the outage. Reports are available throughout the duration of each month.
Listed below are this month’s major outages lasting five minutes or more and affecting at least 500 members.
April
White Bear Lake Township (4/16/24)
At 5:56 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, White Bear Lake Township Circuit 3 recloser locked out, leaving 1,172 members in White Bear Township, Lino Lakes and Hugo without power. A tree from outside the right-of-way was found on our overhead line near Otter Lake Rd & Tart Lake Rd. Our crew removed the tree and made necessary repairs. At 7:15 p.m., power was restored via SCADA to all affected members.
Baldwin Township (4/16/24)
At 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Baldwin Substation Circuit 3 recloser locked out, leaving 1,031 members in Baldwin Township and Blue Hill Township without power. Sherburne County reported our lines were down along 144th St NW, just south of 305th Ave NW. Our crews arrived onsite and found a tree had struck and tore down one of our primary overhead lines and our secondary overhead lines serving two homes. At 2:26 p.m., our crews finished making repairs to the primary line and power was restored via SCADA to 1,029 members. At 2:35 p.m., our crews finished making repairs to our secondary lines and power was restored to the remaining 2 affected members.
