Based in Ramsey, Minnesota, Connexus Energy is Minnesota’s largest electric cooperative, providing electricity and related products to member residents and businesses. The Connexus Energy Board of Directors, elected by our membership, governs the electric cooperative. We serve more than 145,000 members in portions of Anoka, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Sherburne, and Washington counties.

Outdoor Lighting
Standard Outdoor Lighting
Connexus Energy installs and maintains efficient, reliable LED lights that produce natural, uniform lighting. Whether you need street, area, or security lighting, our design team will help you find the right solution, including:
- Standard fixture selection for optimum performance and durability
- Dark sky compliance
- Standard lighting
A Connexus representative will assist with lighting selections from our Outdoor Lighting Product Catalog. Choose from standard offerings of wood, pole-mounted fixtures, or decorative, pole-top lights.
Please note: Connexus Energy lighting options do not meet Buy America compliancy requirements. If your project needs to be Buy America compliant, please find a contractor that can supply compliant lighting and then apply for a new metered electric service by calling 763.323.2740.
Custom lighting
If you are considering a custom lighting fixture/pole application, Connexus will provide metered connection points to power your lighting, but will not install or maintain it.
Installation & maintenance
Unlike other outdoor lighting companies, Connexus utilizes a fleet of utility service trucks, which enables us to provide the fastest and most economical service in the metro area. Electric utility crews provide full maintenance for one low monthly fee.
Rates
Connexus Energy’s outdoor lighting monthly rates are charged per fixture, depending upon the style of the fixture. Price includes energy and/or maintenance.
Outdoor lighting project information
Complete the lighting information request form and a Connexus representative will contact you to discuss your project.
- A lighting design will be drafted based on the type of luminaire and pole combination, your preferences, and our recommendations.
- For new plat developments, light locations should be submitted with plat.
- A project material and labor bid will be prepared for your approval.
- An outdoor lighting project will be completed and signed by you and Connexus.
- Payment for the lighting system is due prior to scheduling and installation.
