FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 1, 2025
Ramsey, Minn. — Connexus Energy’s Executive Team has two new vice presidents. Raquel Berg is the vice president of members and sales, and Tessa Haagenson is the vice president of power supply and business development.
Berg, who joined Connexus in 1997 as a marketing resource specialist, was part of the team that rebranded the cooperative from Anoka Electric Cooperative to Connexus Energy. Over her 27 years, she led numerous marketing, business and member services initiatives, most recently serving as marketing and communications manager for seven years. Berg stepped into her new role on March 10, where she now oversees member services, sales, and marketing and communications.
“Raquel will help us foster stronger partnerships and enhance synergies, results and service delivery,” said CEO Brian Burandt.
Haagenson, who joined Connexus in 2021, has quickly proven her leadership capabilities. She started as manager of power supply and business development before being promoted to director of power supply and business development two years ago. Now, as vice president effective March 31, Haagenson oversees power supply, transmission, rates, business development and metering.
“Tessa’s deep institutional knowledge of Connexus’ power supply contracts/portfolio, extensive MISO market experience and proven ability to drive results make her exceptionally well-suited for this leadership position,” said Burandt.
