Lineworker Pole SafetyAttaching objects on utility poles is illegal and presents a major safety risk for our lineworkers. They can puncture or cause further damage to safety gear designed to protect against electrocution or cause climbing boots to slip and result in a fall. Examples include:

 

  • Garage sale signs
  • Lost and found signs
  • Campaign signs
  • Bird houses
  • Flag poles
  • Satellite dishes

Safe Electricity

Safe Electricity® is an award-winning, multi-media public awareness program of the Energy Education Council. Since the program’s creation in 2001, Safe Electricity® has provided information to consumers and helped compliment the safety education activities of utilities and educators. The program provides life-saving information through many channels, including its comprehensive website, radio and television public service announcements, videos, and more.
